Introducing Dejal Systems, LLC

A leading Mac OS vendor evolves.

PORTLAND, Oregon -- April 23, 2002 -- David Sinclair, President of Dejal, announced today that his Mac OS software development company has now been registered as a Limited Liability Company under the name "Dejal Systems, LLC." Mr. Sinclair founded the company in Auckland, New Zealand in September 1991 as a part-time venture, under the name "Dejal Userware." The "Userware" came from a contraction of "user-friendly software", which was to be the focus of the company over the following decade. In April 2001 the company moved its offices to Portland, Oregon, USA, and begun planning increased development efforts. The new name represents a more generalized approach, while retaining the commitment to developing software that is fun, easy to use, and rich in features, yet with an affordable price tag.

As part of this commitment, Dejal today also announced the introduction of four guarantees, including a 60-day unconditional money-back guarantee, a guarantee of compatibility, a guarantee of great support, and a guarantee of privacy. Visit www.dejal.com/about/guarantees/ for more information.

Dejal's products include the popular QuickEncrypt (www.dejal.com/classic/quickencrypt/), Dejal Text Utilities (www.dejal.com/classic/text/), SndConverter Pro (www.dejal.com/classic/sndconverterpro/), and many others.

Although Dejal's existing products are designed for the classic Mac OS environment, going forward Dejal plans to develop and release Cocoa-based software for the Mac OS X environment. Visit www.dejal.com for more information about the company and its products.
