But currently this helper is Intel-only. Some other helpers, e.g. to send emails or upload reports to a remote server, are also Intel-only.<\/p>\n<p>This is fine, but it means that you need to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT211861\">install Rosetta<\/a>, Apple\u2019s emulation layer to enable running Intel apps on Apple Silicon.<\/p>\n<p>The main Simon app is universal, so launching it won\u2019t prompt to install Rosetta, but you can override that by checking the \u201cOpen using Rosetta\u201d option in the Finder\u2019s <strong>Get Info<\/strong> window:<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Open using Rosetta\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dejal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Screenshot-2022-12-31-at-09.36.42.png?resize=379%2C837&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Open using Rosetta\" width=\"379\" height=\"837\" border=\"0\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>Just remember to uncheck that option after you\u2019ve opened Simon, so subsequent launches use the universal code.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you install Simon on an Apple Silicon (M1, M2, etc) based Mac, you may notice Web Page tests timing out.
