Naturally, when you configure a new notifier, or edit an existing one, you want to make sure that it is set up correctly.<\/p>\n<p>This can be done very easily. When showing the <strong>Notifiers<\/strong> list, you can simply select the notifier you want to check (as you probably already have if you\u2019re editing one), and click the <strong>Reload<\/strong> button in the toolbar, or choose the <strong>File \u25b8 Notify Now<\/strong> menu command.<\/p>\n<p>The selected notifier will then be used, just like when used with a test, except that placeholder values will be used for any variables (since there isn\u2019t a test in this case).<\/p>\n<p>For example, here\u2019s a Notification Center notification, showing placeholder values:<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Notification\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dejal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/notification.png?resize=1200%2C709&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Notification\" width=\"1200\" height=\"709\" border=\"0\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ve had a couple of queries about checking if a notifier is working, so that seemed like a good blog topic.
