I\u2019m pleased to announce an update of Weather Events<\/a>, my app to record weather conditions on your calendar, available for macOS, iOS, and visionOS!<\/p>\n

Version 1.2 now mentions wind gusts in the description for each breezy day, indicating about when it\u2019ll be windy:<\/p>\n

In the day editor, the locations menu now has an Other Location\u2026<\/strong> command to search for a previous or new location:<\/p>\n

When using that to search for a location, it now shows any matching previous locations at the top, followed by other matching locations. So it\u2019s easy to find a location you\u2019ve used in the past, without duplicating it:<\/p>\n

It also now includes a calendar menu in the Settings<\/strong> when setting new day locations from calendar events, to optionally only look in one calendar instead of any:<\/p>\n

But wait, there\u2019s more! Version 1.2 includes a bunch of other nice improvements and fixes:<\/p>\n

Improved the speed and reliability of location searches.<\/li>\n
Improved default names of locations outside the US and Canada to omit the region.<\/li>\n
Improved handling of changing locations in different time zones.<\/li>\n
Now cleans up unused locations.<\/li>\n
Removed the Skip<\/b> button to postpone calendar authorization during onboarding, at Apple\u2019s request.<\/li>\n
Fixed occasionally using a placeholder location.<\/li>\n
Fixed sometimes unexpectedly using a full address for a location.<\/li>\n
Fixed inability to click\/tap on the location map when choosing a new location.<\/li>\n
Fixed the About<\/b>, Welcome<\/b>, and Settings<\/b> windows appearing behind those of other apps on macOS.<\/li>\n
Fixed overlapping controls in the onboarding titlebar.<\/li>\n
Fixed using too much iCloud data.<\/li>\n
Fixed a rare crash.<\/li>\n
