Break theme editor
Break themes use HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web standards to display content during the break. You can create themes or duplicate existing themes to customize them.
Open the editor from the Themes page: click Add (+) to create a theme, or choose Duplicate Theme... or Edit Theme... from a theme's Options menu. Built-in themes must be duplicated before editing.
The theme editor sheet includes fields for the theme name and comments, author information, credits information, and a pop-up menu to choose the type of theme (see below).
At the bottom is some info text, and buttons to Contribute, Preview, Cancel, or Save the theme.
The Contribute button will attach the theme to an email; you can review the email before sending it to Dejal for consideration to bundle with a future version of the app, and/or list on the Time Out Extras page.
The editor sheet can be resized if desired.
Capture Thumbnail...: Preview the theme live, choose a suitable moment, then zoom and drag to frame the image. Reset restores the original framing; Capture saves an 800 × 450 PNG thumbnail with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The thumbnail is used in the theme list, display chooser, and theme information panel.
Time Out supports several kinds of themes:
Local HTML Themes
Local themes are web pages hosted on your computer. They could be as simple as a single static page with some text or an image, or a full web app, running locally.

Website Themes
Website themes are simply a URL to an online website. Any website can be added as a remote theme; all you need is the URL and some basic information about it. Some sites are more suitable for break themes than others, of course.

YouTube Themes
YouTube themes play a YouTube video or playlist, optionally from a random location.

Text Themes
Text themes enable you to add multiple bits of text to show during a break, with customizable appearance, and optionally show them sequentially or in random order.
Images Themes
Images themes can show multiple photos or other images during the break, again optionally sequentially or randomly, or just one per break.
